About this training course:

We want to build teams full of “A-Players”, defined as people who consistently achieve the target level of results for their role, and who consistently demonstrate behaviours aligned with our organization’s core values. Both requirements must be met in order for an employee to be considered an A-Player.

Unfortunately, for most organizations, only 25% of their new hires turn out to be A-Players. This course will teach a simplified version of the Topgrading methodology. By following these hiring best practices and a proven process you can increase your hiring success rate to 90%, where you hire an A-Player 9 out of 10 times.

Some of the things you will learn include:

      • Introduction to Topgrading
      • Common hiring mistakes
      • The 5 step hiring process
      • How to design role scorecards (job descriptions)
      • How to screen out unsuitable candidates
      • How to conduct phone interviews
      • How to conduct face to face interviews
      • How to conduct reference checks
      • The right way to onboard new employees
      • How to grade and coach your team

The theory component of this module will take approximately 2-4 hours to complete. It comprises videos, articles, and concludes with a multichoice exam to certify learning. A score of 80% correct answers is the minimum expected standard.

When participants have completed the theory component a virtual 1-hour Q&A session can be scheduled with Stephen to discuss and share the best practices from this module, and to workshop solutions to real-life scenarios from the business that the managers are currently experiencing.

These discussion sessions are a unique benefit and major differentiator from other training programs. Your team will learn the practical management skills to immediately apply the training in their work environment and reinforce their learning every step of the way.
